In what type of environment will the cable assembly be operating (high heat, caustic chemicals, salt air, etc.) ? Will the cable assembly be operating over bends or pulleys? If so, what is the groove diameter of the pulley or the diameter of the part over which the cable will be drawn? Under what load will the assembly be operating? What maximum loads could the assembly be exposed to? Is it possible that the cable assembly will encounter a shock load? Does the wire rope need to be Mil-Spec? Does the wire rope need to be domestic? Or, will imported cable be acceptable ? Are you aware of any requirements requiring pre-stretching or pull testing? If so, what if any, specifications must be adhered to?
